This gravestone in Nabressina is a particularly tall one; 5ft is above ground and 2ft is underground. Much care is taken to ensure the headstone is buried in the ground securely. It is inevitable that all headstones eventually move, but they will never fall over providing 25 – 30% of the total height is below ground.
