Headstones

My hand carved headstones are all individual; each bespoke headstone is designed in close collaboration with the client. When approached to make a headstone, I often encourage clients to visit the workshop. There are always many examples of work in progress, demonstrating variety and individuality; as they are entirely handmade, almost any idea can be realised. Memorial headstones can be embellished with carvings ranging from a cross or motif from nature, to a full coat of arms. A preliminary drawing will be made and this will be redrafted until it entirely reflects the client’s vision. While advice and guidance can of course be offered, my aim is to work with the client to craft a fitting and unique piece.
