Memorial stones

Memorial stones usually take the form of a cremation memorial, which tends to be set into the ground, or a memorial tablet or plaque which may be wall mounted, either indoors or outdoors. Cremation memorials, sometimes referred to as cremation tablets, are becoming increasingly popular as churchyard space is limited. The standard size for a cremation memorial is 12” x 12” x 2” thick but this varies from place to place. This small size restricts the amount of text, and imposes some limitation on the design, but there are still many possibilities for relief carving and different lettering styles. The type of stone should be carefully chosen to reflect the amount and size of text required.
